HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd (HCEIPL) was established in 2007 with an aim to bring the latest technology in construction equipment and mining solutions to the Indian market. The company inaugurated the India plant in Chakan Maharashtra in 2008 to ensure the best offerings for the Indian market. HD Hyundai’s first excavator was rolled out in India the same year. Since then, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment India has continued full steam ahead, setting new benchmarks for the industry to follow. Within a span of 8 years, HD Hyundai India dominated the excavator market with No 2 position in terms of sales. This can be gauged from the fact that the company saw a rollout of more than 35,000+ machines from its India plant, a feat that is fastest in the industry. To meet the demand of the burgeoning industry, HD Hyundai launched the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) business.
